Rochester Public Library: Weekly Update

“This week we celebrate the 100th edition of this column! It was started from home during the first Covid lockdown as a way to let our patrons and the public know what resources were available to them from their homes. It evolved during all the reopening stages until we were able to fully reopen and now it is one of the ways we continue to inform our patrons, and potential patrons, as we reinstate programming and other events in the Library. Thank you to all who have supported the Library through that challenging time!”

Meet Our Staff
The Children’s Room has returned to normal services and as a way to help introduce their talented staff to new and returning patrons, they have been highlighting them in mini-bios. We’ll be sharing these in this column over the next couple of weeks. This week we are featuring: Amy!

Amy has worked at the Main Desk, at RPL for almost three years now, and worked in the Rochester school system for six years prior to that, (three of which as the librarian at William Allen school).  Be sure to check out the chapter book section in the Children’s room, where Amy spends most of her time.  Amy loves reading fantasies and mysteries, gardening, mountain biking with her husband, running, celebrating her two teenagers’ accomplishments, and walking her dogs, Toby and Wilbur.
