Rochester Museum of Fine Arts Honored in NH Business Review’s 2022 Best of Business Awards

The Rochester Museum of Fine Arts (RMFA) has been recognized as the “Most Ingenious Promoter of Art and Culture” in the 2022 Best of Business (BOB) Awards by NH Business Review. This honor, voted on by the publication’s readers, involved over 3,000 online ballots and celebrated nearly 100 businesses across various sectors in New Hampshire.

“We are thrilled to be recognized by NH Business Review readers,” said Matt Wyatt, RMFA co-founder. “November 2021 marked our 10th Anniversary and this is the perfect way for us to celebrate. We are grateful to be in such good company… Congratulations to our fellow honorees!”

Established in 2011, the Rochester Museum of Fine Arts is a volunteer-led community art initiative committed to making contemporary artwork accessible to the public. It features work from artists ranging from local talent to those recognized on national and international levels, with a mission to enhance public engagement with the arts.

The RMFA’s permanent collection comprises over 200 diverse pieces across mediums such as painting, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, photography, and film. Visitors can explore these works at Suite 135 and along the corridors of the first and second floors of the James W. Foley Memorial Community Center in Rochester.

The museum also hosts rotating exhibits featuring both emerging and established artists at two primary locations: the Mayor Harvey E. Bernier Room (Suite 135) and the Andrew Carnegie Gallery at the Rochester Public Library. Additionally, Suite 135 presents captivating digital art pieces displayed on a high-definition 4K UHD LED screen.

Beyond its exhibitions, RMFA has spearheaded numerous public art projects, including murals and sculptures installed throughout Rochester, contributing significantly to the local artistic landscape.

“The BOB award recipients represent the very best of the New Hampshire business community and serve as a model for business leaders across the state,” said Jeff Feingold, editor of NH Business Review. “Congratulations to RMFA and the rest of this year’s winners on this well-deserved honor!”

The RMFA, along with other winners of the 2022 BOB Awards, will be celebrated during an awards ceremony hosted by NH Business Review. The event is scheduled for March 10 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Grappone Conference Center in Concord.
