Join Rec team member and President of the Rochester Historical Society, Bob, to learn about Rochester’s rich history.
The walk will begin at the Rec entrance of the Community Center and will travel around Spaulding High School, along the Hanson Pines Playground, and up Wakefield Street until Union Street, then walk back down Wakefield Street and take the railroad bed back to the Rec.
Bob will discuss various Wakefield Street landmarks (past and present) and share some fun historic tidbits along the way. Participants are encouraged to share their own memories and photos of the Wakefield Street area.
10:00am Friday, November 5. All ages are welcome. No registration needed-just drop in.
Meet at the Recreation Department Entrance of the James W. Foley Community Center. The walk will depart at 10:0am.
