Coaching has been a learning experience for Jerry Lachance; the least of which is that once he started, he never wanted to stop.
The Rochester man coached his first high school season in the fall of 1974 as an assistant with the Spaulding High School freshman football team.
Forty-eighty years later, Lachance is still at it. He’s back this spring as an assistant, working with his partner Susan Pelletier, who coaches the Spaulding boys’ tennis team. He is in his sixth year in that capacity.
